The Witcher 2 has just been released, and it's probably one of the best looking game at the moment , you'll need a pretty fast machine to max out all graphical settings

on to the topic...


1. First things first , make sure all your drivers are up to date , second the currrent Witcher 2 1.1 patch removes the DRM which considerably speeds up to load time of the game , as well as improving in gameperformance and bug fixes.    http://en.thewitcher.com/patch/

2. If your using a Nvidia card , uninstall the 3D Vision driver if your not using it

3. Adjusting the in-game graphics via Witcher 2 Configurator tool



























Texture downscaling: increase this will lower the texture quality but improve performance
Texture memory size: increase the value to improve texture quality , adjust the setting according the  your video cards memory , 1gb or more = Very Large
Shadow quality: improves the quality of shadows
Number of shadowed lights: ??
Bloom: improves lighting quality , check screenshot comparison below
Light shafts:
Anti-aliasing: The setting significally reduces the performance on slower and older machines , it smooths out the jagged edges
Blur effects: don't notice the effect...

Vignette:
Wet surfaces rain effect: what it says ^ ^
SSAO : Screen Space Ambient Occlusion: check screenshots for comparison
Motion blur: applies blur effect when moving or etc
Cinematic depth of field:
Dangling objects limit:
Ubersampling: do not enable unless you have a very fast PC , almost slows down the game in half , check screenshot below
Vertical sync: disabling this improves performance , but can cause slight screen tearing
